PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk (the Company) was established on October 31st, 1990 as a trading and marketing agent for state coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam. Subsequently, the Company strategically diversified its operations into the coal mining sector by acquiring PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) in 1995 to cater to the burgeoning market demand. AGM initiated its coal explorations in 1999, whereas the Company began its commercial coal production in 2011.
Today, the Company and AGM are engaged in coal mining in across five regencies in East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan i.e. Kutai Kartanegara, Banjar, Tapin, Hulu Sungai Tengah, and Hulu Sungai Selatan, encompassing a substantial concession area totaling 24,893 hectares. Above all, the Company operates by earnestly embracing the principles of sustainability in order to effectively mitigate adverse economic, social, and environmental impacts.
